Dr. Pérez-Marc holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from UBA and is a pediatrician, medical specialist in sports medicine, and clinical pharmacological research. He is also a philosopher (UBA), with a Master's in Bioethics (FLACSO) and in Health Economics and Management (UAI), and a certified Chemical Technician (IH). Additionally, he is an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine of UBA. He has taught at various institutions, including UBA, UCA, ISALUD, UNSAM, and Maimónides University, and completed the Advanced Course in Vaccines (ADVAC) at Fondation Merieux in France.
He serves as an expert in clinical research, research methodology, vaccines, bioethics, and medical humanities on various scientific discussion committees. He has been the Deputy Medical Director and is currently the Head of Teaching and Research of the Mother-Child Unit at the Central Military Hospital. Currently, he is the General Director of Equipo Ciencia. He directed the Phase III clinical trials for COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer and Medicago and was the General Director of the Phase III trials for the ARVAC-Cecilia Grierson vaccine. Additionally, he was the principal investigator for Phase III studies of the Moderna and Pfizer Respiratory Syncytial Virus vaccines, the Moderna Influenza vaccine, and the INFANT Foundation's convalescent plasma study.
He has led over 20 studies across more than 10 medical specialties, involving over 27,000 participants, including pregnant women, newborns, children, adolescents, and adults aged 18 to 85+.
